Low-Cost Canary Islands Scuba Diving Adventures
The two most popular islands in the Canaries (all of which are volcanic, by the way) are Gran Canaria and Tenerife. Because of their popularity, they are also two of the most commercialized vacation destinations. If they are your ultimate goal for your scuba trip, be sure to shop around in search of the best deals and not get taken as a sucker. While the resort areas are all pretty much the same, if you’re willing to travel off the beaten path, you can find a great deal of diversity and aspects of a vacation that others might miss. This can be a fabulous bonus for cheap holidays to Canary Islands and provide you with the opportunity to write home about the exotic, versus merely the ordinary.
Next in line on the popularity contest are Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Lanzarote has done a great deal to embrace the concept of eco-friendly tours and vacations, so one thing you’ll notice there low-rise resorts and low-impact architecture that embrace natural beauty instead of trying to compete with it. Fuerteventura, on the other hand, is widely known for wind-sports, which can make a fabulous complementary aspect of a scuba diving vacation.
The remaining three of the Canary Islands are all very underdeveloped and see the fewest numbers of tourists throughout the year. Most of those who do visit are only there as a stop-off for a quick, undisturbed walk while soaking up the sun and embracing natural beauty at its finest. Of course, as a scuba diver, you could care a less about the land and all about the water.
Fortunately, you can find specialized cheap holidays to Canary Islands that focus on your passion for scuba diving and give you information on where to get gear, which areas are the best, safety information as well as guides and charter services to get you where you want to go.
