Your instructor will be well aware of how quickly you are mastering the skills during the training, and even if it takes you longer than other people, once you have mastered them, he or she will know. Safety is always a priority with your instructor, and your ability to master and perform certain skills must be at a certain level for they will feel confident you will be safe in the water.When you are just learning, you will need to acquire your skills for open water diving. Open water dives, which are very different from anything that you will learn in a swimming pool, must be perfected before you can be certified. To improve your ability to dive, instructors will make each successive dive more difficult than the next. For instance, each dive will include additional levels of difficulty and new tasks that you have to perform. One very important task that all drivers must learn how to do, which is required of all trainees, is to be able to clean your mask underwater and then put it back on. To handle regulator malfunctions underwater, you learn to share yours with a buddy and vice versa. These basic skills are, of course, practiced in the swimming pool so that they can later be done in the ocean.An example of this would be completing several dives, or just a couple, while you are on vacation. As you progress in your ability to dive, you will want to do more and go deeper every time. Divers that get a thrill when they dive further each time they are at the ocean will absolutely benefit from a PADI Deep Diver course.The course will teach you specific knowledge, so you can dive at depths from 60 feet to 130 feet. Getting to these levels is not easy; that is why this course will show you what you need to buy, and what you need to do, to reach these goals. To successfully complete this course, supervised dives down to as far as 130 feet must be accomplished a minimum of four times. It is very understandable, especially after reading this article, that aspiring diving trainees may lack the motivation to continue at some points throughout the program. All instructors that can teach you how to become a certified diver and know that these weak moments may arise. You simply have to have confidence within yourself in order to complete the program and trust that your instructor is there to help you.
