About RAD - REMOTE AREA DIVING

Long time friends and fellow PADI instructors, Craig Randall and Troy Harris teamed up together and founded Remote Area Dive (RAD) in 2000.

Like most developing businesses RAD has evolved from a part time passion to become a fully-fledged business over the last four years.

The boys dived the Palm Island Group for several years and got to know the area quite well. It's here they identified a niche market that combines diving trips and another favourite Australian past time - camping. This developed into RAD's signature package, a small personalised dive and camping safari to the remote and beautiful Pelorus and Orpheus Islands.

From the beginning training was done with small class sizes catering for all levels of divers. The benefits of this specialised and personalised dive instruction were quickly realised and are an intrinsic part of the philosophy adhered to at RAD today.

Amongst the friendly experienced dive professionals at RAD there are two registered nurses and a qualified chef. So you can be sure that you are in expert hands in all aspects of our service.
