How much do I need to save to go to Australia?

I am wanting to take a gap year in Australia with my friends next year. (summer 2011) I know flights can cost a lot and then theres visa etc but also spending when i’m there on activities such as scuba diving, sky diving, etc etc. Any one been or know about it with some good advice please.

Apply for a ‘youth mobility visa’ and you’re allowed to work while you’re over there. One of these;

although obviously for you going to Oz. It means you don’t need top save up as much. I’ve got a few pals that have done it and every one of them said they had a great time
